Born May 25, 1889 in Ottawa, Ontario Canada to:
Moise (Moses) Doucet (born March 19, 1851 (?) Canada died May 14, 1927 Manchester, NH) and Georgiana Boivin (born in Chicoutimi, Quebec, Canada (?) died (?)
Moise had three children when he married Georgiana, Emma, Adelard and Edward who died very young, and had three children together Anna, Elizabeth and Rose, also Aggie (who went on to have 21 children of her own) who was brought up as their child but was Elizabeth child out of wedlock. They moved to Ashuelot, NH in 1889 when Rose was 6 months old. In 1896 they moved to Manchester, NH and opened a boarding house at 7 Bridge St. for Canadian girl who worked at the Amoskeag Mills. Georgiana made box lunches for them and the daughters would deliver them to the mill girls at lunchtime. In 1906 they moved to 224 Silver St. and subsequently to 287 Central St. (Where Nan (O’Dowd) who had just married Mike Goonan lived next door and Freddie first met Gette)
Rose met Francois (Frank) Xavier Paris (born July 29, 1889 in Ironwood Michigan died Dec. 8, 1965) at the dance hall at Pine Island Park. The ladies were allowed in free and the men would buy a roll of tickets that were use to dance with the ladies. They were married March 23, 1911 as a wedding present Frank gave her a necklace of gold beads. She liked to brag that she had an 18-inch waistline when they married. (The famous “ring” belonged to his sister Arlene who lived near Central Park in NY City and was Gette’s Godmother.
The famous “ring” was from Aunt Arlene Married to Agustive Artuie Olson and lived on Shore Drive in NY, NY Long Island – National Center. She was a sister of Frank Paris Sr. and godmother to Marie (Paris) Georgette O’Dowd
